A Kandelian Child's
Primer on the Gods
From Swyn Matkej we get the
light, circling
o’erhead, the pure orb fill’d with golden rays.
Her love, the Moon, comes with the night, trickling
silver, Patkej doth start at end of days.
Swyn Farrou, the Child, is nigh behind
the Mother’s lead, learning of divine light.
At the end of existence thou wilt find
Star Keeper, guardian at line of night.
Protector, come from Moon’s unending grace,
destroyeth demons prancing ‘round the dark.
Gate Keeper, with veils hiding they face,
holds judgment for those who receiveth death’s mark.
But, most great for thee, he who dwindles long,
Arbeddis, god of love and hope and song.
